Prompt Keeper

Prompt Keeper ("the extension," "we," "us") automatically saves the text prompts you copy while working with AI image or video generators, so you don't have to retype them. This policy explains what data the extension handles and, just as importantly, what it does not.

What Prompt Keeper does with your data

Your copied prompts are stored only on your own device. Prompt Keeper does not operate a server, does not collect analytics, and does not transmit anything you copy to us or to any third party.

What is stored, and where:

• When you copy text on a page, the extension checks the text involved in that specific copy action to see if it looks like a prompt worth saving, and if so, stores that text locally in your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local / unlimitedStorage), along with the site it came from and when it was saved.
• The extension reads this from the copy action itself (the standard browser "copy" event), not by reading your operating system's clipboard directly or at other times — it only ever sees text at the moment you actively copy it on a supported page.
• A dedicated "saved prompts" page lets you search, sort, and export everything you've saved — this is a fuller view of the same locally-stored data described above, not a separate or additional category of data.
• Your Founder/paid status (a simple yes/no flag).

What is never stored or transmitted:

• Prompt Keeper does not read your clipboard's contents outside of an active copy action you perform, and never reads clipboard contents from other applications.
• Saved prompts are not sent to any server operated by us.
